A trip home turned into a historical nightmare. When a portal unleashes a paranormal threat, can one woman put an end to the killings?

Glasgow, Scotland. Kirsty McIvar deliberately chose to be a lone wolf. But after leaving her dreaded hometown behind, she reluctantly returns ten years later to attend her beloved grandmother’s funeral. And when she rushes to rescue a man being burned alive, she’s dismayed that she’s torn open the fabric of time… and set loose an ancient killer.

Fighting to avenge her gran’s apparent murder amidst an out-of-control timeline, Kirsty joins her not-so-deceased great-grandfather and a recently resurrected Viking to stop the culprit’s rampage. And despite her blossoming feelings for the young warrior of yesteryear, the fierce woman is determined to destroy the immortal magic wreaking havoc in the Scottish port.

Can Kirsty and her rag-tag crew kick evil back into history where it bloody well belongs?

What readers have to say...

Fully invested and enthralled from page 1. Every element of this book makes it sing. From the humor and strength of the badass lead to the mystery of the fantasy element to the splashes of Scottish history and beyond. I laughed, I learned, I loved...and I devoured it in mere days. Can't wait to spend more time with these characters in the next book.

What a rollercoaster of a book! Set in Glasgow with time travel through historical factual events! The central theme is going back in time to solve a family member murder! The journey takes us through many events with humour and keeps you focussed to the very last page ! Strongly recommend this book! Look forward to the sequel !

Glasgow humour, magic and amazing female characters - what’s not to love?!

I loved the characters and the Glasgow setting. The setting really emphasised the darkness that was going on in the story. Whilst it was a dark tale the main character lightened it up and it was a pleasure to go on the journey with her.

I was surprised at how I couldn't put this down. It's fast paced and gripping the whole way though. Looking forward to the next one!

I don’t normally write reviews but I thoroughly recommend this book!! Very funny, brilliant characters, couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for the next one!

Great book, gripping, thrilling with amusing moments, loved it. Can’t wait for the next book!

I really liked the author's humor, that the main character is a little older than you'd expect, the obvious love for the city of Glasgow, and Frej. How I could adore a character who didn't talk for half the book so much, I don't know. But I did.
