I've been a screenwriter, a casting assistant, a daycare teacher, a kayak tour guide and I've never been entirely sure exactly what my job at an oil refinery in Ohio was. I'm single and childfree by choice and I've never met a convention that didn't whisper challenge me.

 

This year, I'm out on my own for the first time in a long while. No screenwriting deal, no publishing contract - just me, my stories and a conviction I can make this work, my way.
